David T. Senay, CEO and president of Fleishman-Hillard, the world’s leading public relations firm, visited Prague and gave an interesting presentation on the up-to-date topics critical for the communications industry. The briefing was organized by Fleishman-Hillard Prague and the British Chamber of Commerce and took place in Prague’s Marriott hotel on June 27, 2008. The event was visited by 80 guests, mainly the marketing and communications representatives from both international and Czech companies.
Summary of the seminar
Dave Senay started his speech with an introduction about global economical, technological and demographical trends and their impact on the future of the communications industry. In the second part he introduced the unique Fleishman-Hillard’s research demonstrating how the internet influences the consumers’ behaviour in France, UK and Germany. As one of the Fleishman-Hillard companies is helping Barack Obama in his presidential campaign, the last part was devoted to the highest form of political marketing. Dave Senay talked about the usage of social media and the internet in the campaign and the way new communication channels and techniques influence the success of presidential campaigns since Abraham Lincoln to the current elections.
About David T. Senay
Dave Senay has worked across multiple communications practices throughout several regions of the world during his 28-year career in public relations. He joined Fleishman-Hillard’s St. Louis
headquarters in 1984. In 23 years with the firm, he has taken on increasing responsibilities, serving at various times as a group leader and then as general manager of the St. Louis office; and as regional president for the Midwest, Canada, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He is a member of various public relations organizations including the Public Relations Seminar and the Arthur W. Page Society. Prior to joining Fleishman-Hillard, he was director of the Saint Louis University office of public information.
